Come to think of it. This game story is somehow resemble story in Yakuza 1. Both games have brother turn on each other and end with sacrifice to save other in the end from bomb but Sho able to save Aya. They even have a Kazuma here although playing a reverse role. Not to mention both games are from SEGA.

Damn this is a fever dream. I mean considering the other option back then was Metal Gear Solid 1 style rendered character model cutscenes with non functional mouths during dialogue I think this was the better choice for the 90s

For those of us that played this on the Dreamcast back in 2000, this game became something “more” than just a game. I was 15 at the time and something about this experience was just so different than anything we’d had to date. Story, music, ambiance - it kicked off an interest in Japan that followed me into college, graduate school, and ultimately my professional adult life. We all felt like Ryo because in a way, we were. Some people take shots at the mundane parts of the game and dubbing, but it was endearing to me - and still is to this day.
